Idk why people pretend to be shocked to find out Wonder Woman is queer inclusive and trans. She’s from Themyscira - the island’s got pronouns right in the name.
I get really frustrated with TERF/radfem rhetoric coming from the queer community. We DO NOT need to be attacking each other and tearing each other apart. We get enough of that as is.
We need to stand in solidarity with each other. We are stronger if we support each other and try to come from a place of understanding. We won’t get fucking anywhere fighting amongst ourselves.
I’d rather be a kind person who keeps an open mind than a cruel, close minded individual. I want to have compassion for marginalized people, not the opposite.
If you’re bi, pan, ace, aro, non binary, trans, or any other queer identity and you’re reading this: you are loved. You are wanted. You are welcome to come to me as your queer friend. I will stand by you. I refuse to hate people over their identity.

destroy the belief that men shouldn’t talk about gender or how affects their life or feelings or perceptions or how others treat them. burn the idea that nobody’s negative experiences with gender is real but women’s. men dismantling and destroying and rejecting gender roles is incredibly important and good and sexy
now that I’m living in a residential facility with dorms that are literally (I can’t make this up) “male” and “she/her they/them” dorms this post is so relevant lol I couldn’t make this up If tried… cis people think the two genders are “oppressed” and “oppressor” without thinking critically about the context and it’s fucking alienating being a trans man and getting rejected from both spaces when you are literally there to get social support
there’s a difference between “being canceled” and “facing consequences” but there’s also a fine line between “facing consequences” and “deincentivizing growth and change” and i think that needs to be grappled with more. i’m not saying all mistakes need to be forgiven by everyone, but people who make mistakes are people, and if it becomes clear that not only will they will never be forgiven for their past, but that they will also be continually punished, then it’s a normal human response to grow frustrated and stop trying, and the holier-than-thou response of “well if they were really sorry, they would willingly accept all the punishments we throw their way” is stupid. what does pulling receipts up from 20 years ago do? who do these “gotcha” moments help?
it also isolates people and makes them more likely to join extremist and reactionary groups. connection and acceptance is a fundamental human need. so if someone feels cast out of their social circles because of something that they are told is irredeemable, they are likely to look for a group that will accept or even encourage that behavior. by holding people to impossible standards, you may be unintentionally radicalizing them
